Retired Chartered Building Services Engineer (MCIBSE) Designing HVAC since 1954 both for major heating company, domestic installers, Consulting Engineers and Local Authorities and Tech College Lecturer for IHVE exam courses. Designing Microbore systems since 1957 and Author of Microbore design data published by the Institute of Domestic Heating Engineers in 1968. Lately specialising in heat pump systems, swimming pools and toxic Ventilation systems before retiring. Took 3 years off design work to carry out heating, plumbing and boiler installations.

Many thanks for nice comment. At present compiling an article I am calling "Old Plumbers Tales" including some of the amusing questions and answers found on these forums. Reading the Screwfix forum gives particular pleasure. Will submit when completed. A certain vet wrote a very sucessful series of books about his experiences. I am sure we in our industry could come up with some very amusing tales also. I have a few but not enough for a book.
