Hello, I have a rainfall shower that used to give out really hot water.
The pipes come out of the wall then into a rectangular tube then up to the head.
Now the water is only luke warm.
I have tried Turning the temperature dial up but to no effect.
Can you please tell me what the problem could be

Thank you

Hi,
Depends if its thermostatic or the type of boiler H/W supply you have?

Any other work carried out recently, was it a gradual or fast change in temp?

Hello. No work has been carried out and the temperature faded gradually a week or so.

Morning,
Thanks for the reply. It’s a Worcester Bosch and the only difference to it working as normal is now I have to turn the temp dial further up but this does not make much of a difference .

could e the diverter valve in the boiler or the thermostatic cartridge in the shower vlve. does your hot water come into the taps quickly?

it looks like a thermostatic valve requiring a new thermostat behind the hot handle.
you will need to find the make and model of the showervalve, sometimes on the chrome behind.
it may be a long shot or new valve unfortuanately.
if you turn off the hot and cold supplies you can easily remove the 2 chrome back nts to remove the shower. there is also a filter behind this you can check for blockage.
the hot handle comes off with an allen key usually.
