Hi I am look for a change in career and think plumbing is the right way to go for me but I am not sure of the best way to do it. I have had a look at fast track courses and have read and heard mixed reviews on them. Any advice on how to start a new career would be very helpful. Thanks

Plumbing can be a great career, I love it and can't see me doing anything else. Those fast track courses though are useless. They take your money and give you a qualification but you'll have no experience, and this is one of careers where experience is key. If you really want to learn I would try getting work at a firm as a plumbers mate, work along side the plumbers ask questions, watch and learn. And go to college in the evening to get your qualifications. My previous boss qualified in his 40's and has continued to run a business employing a few lads so its possible. Just stay away from courses than promise miracles in a few months.

just thinking about merchant staff, sure there on £12-14 PH.
a job there could lead to learning curve and teaming up with plumbers to give a hand and learn for free!
