Will be helping out a friend with a new bathroom install and will be needing to upgrade their shower pump. Currently on a gravity system with single impeller pump but will be changing to double impeller. Does this need its own dedicated feed from the CWSC or can a feed be taken from the HWC cold feed?

Always always go by the manufacturer instructions most if not all are available online

From the tank. Is there sufficient cold water storage?

As mentioned above, from the tank, always use an independent feed and always read the instructions first. It's amazing how many wrongly installed pumps I see because people fail to read instructions. Also make sure you have the correct pump for the application. If your ever unsure, contact the manufacturer and they will help you select the correct pump for the job your doing.

Thanks for advice, will follow manufacturers instructions.
There are already 2 CWSC joined in the loft so water supply is adequate.
Is there any best preferences for shower manufacture that people like to use?

I'm happy fitting either salamander or stuart Turner, I'd avoid the cheap showermate pumps by stuart Turner though, had a few leaks from the pump body on those, the monsoon ones are great.

Have the pump all piped in copper plus clipped properly and correctly offset to pump flexi hoses. So many idiots bend and twist the hoses, which are intended to be kept straight.
Use full flow lever valves on the supplies only.
Keep strictly to MIs.
I use Stuart and Turner Monsoon pumps.
